Toad Suck Creative is a brand new initiative, born right here in my hometown. It is meant to be a sort of conduit for local artists, giving them a chance to showcase their work, as well as helping the community build a much-needed nightlife. This week in Conway, we have several events on tap. Starting today, the Youth Maker Monday hosted by Conductor will take a look at TinkerCAD & 3D Printing. Conductor will also be hosting Startup Stories Wednesday at 11:30 am. Tacos 4 Life will host its annual Mobile Pack at the Conway Expo starting on Thursday. Yamato Drummers to Bring High-Energy Show to Reynolds
CONWAY — The University of Central Arkansas’s Reynolds Performance Hall will welcome Yamato Drummers of Japan and the group’s new show “Passion” on Wednesday, March 18, at 7:30 p.m. Yamato was founded in 1993 by Artistic Director Masa Ogawa and has successfully toured the globe visiting 54 countries while performing to over 8 million people in more than 3,500 shows. Recognized as the trailblazers in the Taiko world, the troupe of dozens of players starts its performance by hitting a Japanese Taiko drum made from a large, 400-year-old tree. Celtic Angels to Bring Irish Music and Dance to Reynolds Stage
CONWAY — The University of Central Arkansas’s Reynolds Performance Hall will welcome “Celtic Angels Ireland” on Monday, March 16, at 7:30 p.m. The award-winning Celtic Angels celebrate their heritage through rigorously performed Irish dances and traditional Irish music featuring the beautiful voices of Victoria Kenny, Emily Carroll, Tammy Browne, Amy Penston and Ellie Mullane.
