CONWAY — The University of Central Arkansas will host “An Evening with Holocaust Survivor Nat Shaffir” on Wednesday, March 4 at 7 p.m. in the McCastlain Hall Ballroom. The event is free and open to the public. Sponsors of the presentation include the UCA departments of English, History, Liberal Arts and Philosophy and Religion, as well as the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton and the University of Arkansas at Rich Mountain. UCA to Host Arkansas Creative Sustainability Summit

CONWAY — The University of Central Arkansas and the Arkansas Cinema Society will host the crowdfunding/distribution platform Seed&Spark on campus March 1 for the Arkansas Creative Sustainability Summit to help Arkansas-based creators build sustainable artistic careers. Seed&Spark founder and CEO Emily Best will be on campus for the summit, which will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the McCastlain Hall Ballroom on campus. UCA’s Baum Gallery to Host Spring Student Art Competitive

CONWAY — The University of Central Arkansas’s Baum Gallery will once again host the annual Student Art Competitive (ASAC) March 3-13. An opening reception will be held March 3 at 4 p.m. During this event, UCA students are allowed to submit up to three different pieces for possible inclusion. Applications Open for Youth Leadership Institute

CONWAY — The University of Central Arkansas is now accepting applications for the 2020-21 Conway Area Youth Leadership Institute (CAYLI), formerly known as the Faulkner County Youth Leadership Institute. CAYLI is designed to develop leadership potential in 11th- and 12th-grade students. The institute consists of a two-day overnight retreat and seven monthly sessions, which cover human services, education, media/technology, health care, work world/the economy, government, the court system, the environment and agriculture. UCA Theatre to Present Sam Shepard’s ‘Fool for Love’
