UCA’s Baum Gallery To Host Student Art Competitive

CONWAY — The University of Central Arkansas’ Baum Gallery will once again host the Annual Student Art Competitive (ASAC) from March 4-15. A reception will be held on March 7 at 4 p.m. During this event, UCA students are allowed to submit up to three different pieces for possible inclusion. All works are then jurored, and multiple awards are given. This is an opportunity for students to participate in a curated museum exhibition. This year’s juror is Kevin Cole. I can remember the press conference regarding the opening of the Arkansas Coding Academy. A group of UCA and community leaders gathered for the news. The new organization tapped Mary Condit who had directed The Iron Yard in Little Rock. Condit came with experience. She is a past participant in The ARK Challenge as a member of the WeGeek startup.
