UCA Celebrates King With MLK Prayer Breakfast

CONWAY — The University of Central Arkansas Office of Diversity and Community will host the annual MLK Prayer Breakfast Friday, Jan. 17, in the Student Center Ballroom. Breakfast begins at 8:15 a.m., and the official program begins at 9 a.m. The breakfast is held each year to celebrate the spiritual legacy and moral courage that Dr. Martin Luther King brought to the social justice movement. CAPCA to Host “Project Homeless Connect” Event in Conway January 23

The Community Action Program for Central Arkansas (CAPCA) will be hosting the “Project Homeless Connect” outreach event on Thursday, January 23, 2020, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Greater Pleasant Branch Baptist Church, 601 Spruce Street, in Conway. Project Homeless Connect is a community-wide effort spearheaded by CAPCA to make available to those facing homelessness in the Faulkner County area a wide array of health, wellness, and vocational services; as well as care packages containing personal care items and basic essentials; and a hot meal— all free of charge. Conway, AR – Jan. 6, 2020 – UCA CMI will present Music & Movement classes at Saint Peter’s Episcopal Church Parish Hall at 925 Mitchell St. beginning on Wednesday, January 15, 2020, from 10:30 am – 11:15 am. Music and Movement is a group play experience between children and their parent(s)/caregiver(s). Parent/Caregiver and child will participate in movement activities, singing, and chanting in a musically rich environment. UCA Downtown Features Independent Living Services Artists

CONWAY — University of Central Arkansas’s Division of Outreach and Community Engagement will host “Colors and Creativity,” an art exhibition featuring the works of clients of Independent Living Services (ILS), at UCA Downtown from Monday, Jan. 6, through Friday, Jan. 24. The Conway Institute of Music is excited to announce their Winter Recital Red Carpet Event Saturday on December 21st held at James H Clark Auditorium, on the Conway High School campus, located on 2300 Prince Street, Conway AR 72034.
