Meet your barista: Mary Mickler of Blue Sail Coffee

Conway Institute of Music

This month’s Meet your Barista is Mary Mickler. She’s a Senior at UCA and been a barista for Blue Sail Coffee for the past two years.

One of my all-time favorite baristas is Mary Mickler. I was talking to a friend the other day and he said she had a heart of gold. I agree. Mary is truly the “pure in heart.” She always has a smile.

She is a few weeks away from finishing her degree at UCA and we will miss her when she leaves. We will always have the memories of her smiling while making your pour over!

Today, we get a chance to learn more about his barista from Blue Sail Coffe!

“I was born in College Station, Texas but moved to Arkansas in my teens where I then began getting into music. Throughout my teen years that was my passion, and then when I came to Conway to go to UCA I developed an interest for the coffee culture and was honored to join the Blue Sail team. I have been a part of Blue Sail for over two years as well as part of a church plant here in Conway called City Church for the past four. I am graduating this May with a Bachelor’s in Business Management before going to nursing school starting in the summer. Other interests of mine include running, reading, and outdoor activities such as backpacking. I have been so thankful for the leadership training that I have been given during my time at Blue Sail as well as the relationships with people that I have formed from my time there.”
