UCA To Present STEM Day On May 8

CONWAY — More than 460 middle school students from central Arkansas will come to the University of Central Arkansas on Wednesday, May 8, to engage in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) demonstrations, experiments, games and activities. Presented by UCA’s College of Natural Science and Mathematics, the annual STEM Day at UCA offers STEM educational opportunities to under-resourced middle schools in and around Faulkner County. CONWAY — The University of Central Arkansas will present the seventh annual Girl Power in STEM on Friday, April 26, on the UCA campus. Girl Power in STEM allows eighth-grade Arkansas girls to experience hands-on learning opportunities related to careers in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields. Conductor Receives Small Business Administration’s Regional Innovation Cluster Award

Conductor to expand reach to rural Arkansas regions, grow Conway team CONWAY, April 5— The Conductor, a public-private partnership between the University of Central Arkansas and Startup Junkie, today announced that it has been awarded the Small Business Administration’s Regional Innovation Cluster contract. The funding will enable the Conductor to bolster its offerings in the collaborative central Arkansas cluster and expand its footprint to reach underserved areas of the state, which house 19 Opportunity Zones and are rural regions as defined by the U.S. Census Bureau. UCA To Host Best-selling Author Michael Eric Dyson For Speakers Forum And Lecture

CONWAY — The University of Central Arkansas will host Dr. Michael Eric Dyson for a speakers forum and keynote address on Monday, April 15, in McCastlain Ballroom on the UCA campus. Dyson’s appearance at UCA will begin at 2:15 p.m. in McCastlain Ballroom with the Alpha Kappa Delta Sociology Honors Society (AKD) Speakers Forum.
