CONWAY — Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre will present a sensory-friendly performance of its family-friendly, one-hour adaptation of “Romeo and Juliet” at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2 in Reynolds Performance Hall on the University of Central Arkansas campus. The sensory-friendly performance is designed to provide an experience that is inviting to all individuals with sensory-processing deficits, including (but not limited to) those on the autism disorder spectrum and their families. For Conway native and successful country artist Erin Enderlin, storytelling is in her blood. “My grandmother is pretty great at it. I just love all the characters,” she said. Enderlin has followed in her grandmother’s footsteps telling stories and, in the process, racking up her share of awards. In recent years, Enderlin has performed on the 2018 CMT Next Women of Country tour and received the Arkansas Country Music Awards Songwriter and Album of the Year awards. UCA Hires Arkansas Coding Academy Director

CONWAY— The Arkansas Coding Academy (ArCA), a program of the Division of Outreach and Community Engagement at the University of Central Arkansas, has hired Dr. Donald Walker as its director. In his new role, Walker will oversee the administration and everyday operations of the program. He began on June 3. “I’m very happy to be in central Arkansas and joining the team at UCA. I started my professional life at Little Rock Air Force Base, and my family is happy to be back home. A houseshow, on Friday night, May 24, will benefit Deliver Hope. Dreamed up by Lane Long and Drew Foote, the show will feature four local bands as well as crawfish by Crawfish Cares. “I think music is beautiful and giving people a great experience is amazing, Foote told me. “But to use all of that for the purpose of changing someone’s life make it transcend just normal pleasure and turns it into something we can all believe in.” There is a $10 cover and all proceeds go to Deliver Hope. UCA’S Reynolds Performance Hall Announces 2019-20 Season

College of Fine Arts and Communication Media Office CONWAY — This year marks the 20th season of the University of Central Arkansas’s Reynolds Performance Hall, which opened on Sept. 15, 2000, with a performance by the legendary Ray Charles. The 2019-20 season will kick off on Sept. 20 with a performance by country star Sara Evans and will continue with “Jersey Boys,” the Arkansas premiere of the Broadway hit “The Spongebob Musical” and crowd favorite Straight No Chaser, along with many other events throughout the year.
