Allyson Dombey visits UCA as artist-in-residence

CONWAY— The University of Central Arkansas will host creative artist, Allyson Dombey, as an artist-in-residence from Thursday, Nov. 16, to Friday, Nov. 17. Dombey will hold a public art display and reception in the Windgate Center for Fine and Performing Arts lobby on Friday, Nov. 17, from 5:30-7 p.m. Dombey serves as the CEO of Dombey Design, a diverse multimedia design team based in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her creative team specializes in various crafts, including glassblowing, metalworking, woodwork, costume design, 3D printing and CNC machining. UCA presents Agatha Christie’s “Murder on the Orient Express”

Adapted for the stage by Ken Ludwig CONWAY—The University of Central Arkansas theatre program kicks off its 2023-24 season with the classic “Murder on the Orient Express” at the James M. Bridges Black Box Theatre in the Windgate Center for the Fine and Performing Arts. Performance dates are Nov. 10, 16 and 17 at 7:30 p.m., and Nov. 11 and 18 at 2 p.m. The performance includes mature content, mild adult language, multiple gunshots as well as fog and haze. UCA announces 2023 Veterans Day event and information fair

CONWAY—The University of Central Arkansas will hold its annual Veterans Day celebration on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2023, with an information fair at 11:30 a.m. and formal ceremony at 1:40 p.m. The theme of this year’s event is “Legacy” and will commemorate the service of veterans from all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces and feature notable speakers, free food, live music and a veterans information fair.
