Conway ArtsFest Scheduled for Saturday, October 5th
Conway – The 13th annual Conway ArtsFest will be held in downtown Conway on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019. ArtsFest is a celebration of the arts in Conway and is completely free to attend. “The festival features live music and dance, hands-on activities, a community art exhibit, artist demos and vendors, and more,” says co-chair Ronald Jensen-McDaniel. UCA To Welcome Lowenstern As Artist-in-residence

As part of his residence, Lowenstern will perform a free public recital from 7:30–8:30 p.m. Sept. 19 in UCA’s Snow Fine Arts Center Recital Hall. He will also conduct two lectures that day. Conway photographer Mike Kemp recognized by Professional Photographers of America
Conway – A photograph created by Mike Kemp of Mike Kemp Photography in Conway was recently accepted into the Loan Collection of Professional Photographers of America’s 2019 International Photographic Competition. Two additional images were accepted into the General Collection. Kemp’s work will be on display at the International Photographic Exhibition in Nashville, Tn. Jan. 19-21, 2020. The exhibition is held in conjunction with Imaging USA, an annual convention and expo for professional photographers. UCA’s Torreyson Library To Host Territorial Arkansas Exhibit
CONWAY — “Territorial Arkansas: The Wild Western Frontier,” a traveling exhibit that tells the story of Arkansas Territory, will be on display at the University of Central Arkansas’s Torreyson Library from Thursday, Sept. 5 through Sunday, Sept. 28. The traveling exhibit consists of 15 panels that explore the history of Arkansas Territory through the collections of the Arkansas State Archives and their branch archives, the Northeast Arkansas Regional Archives in Powhatan, Arkansas, and the Southwest Arkansas Regional Archives in Washington, Arkansas.
