UCA, Conway Fire Department partner for CPR/AED training

This event has been updated with a new time. CONWAY—The University of Central Arkansas and Conway Fire Department have partnered to offer a free CPR and automated external defibrillator (AED) training on Wednesday, March 1, from 6-8 p.m. The event will be held in the Prince Center on the UCA campus. Representatives from the Conway Fire Department and Conway Regional Health System will facilitate the training, as well as provide materials and CPR dummies and other equipment. Petersen to begin June 2023, following retirement of W. Ellis Arnold III CONWAY, Ark. (January 9, 2023) — The Hendrix College Board of Trustees has named Dr. Karen K. Petersen to be the 13th President of Hendrix College, beginning in June 2023. Petersen will succeed W. Ellis Arnold III ’79, who will become President Emeritus following his retirement in June. UCA celebrates MLK legacy with annual Prayer Breakfast

CONWAY–The University of Central Arkansas Office of Diversity and Community will host the annual MLK Prayer Breakfast Friday, Jan. 13, in the Ronnie Williams Student Center Ballroom. The official program begins at 9 a.m., and breakfast begins at 8:15 a.m. The keynote speaker will be Pastor E.C. Maltbia, Senior Pastor of True Holiness Saints Center, and UCA Board of Trustees member. The breakfast is held each year to celebrate the spiritual legacy and moral courage that King brought to the social justice movement. This year’s theme is “The Life and Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.”
