CONWAY, Ark. – Hendrix-Murphy Visiting Poet and Pulitzer Prize winner Sharon Olds will read and discuss her work on Thursday, April 13, at 7:30 p.m. in Staples Auditorium on Hendrix College campus. A book signing in Mills Lobby will follow the reading, and WordsWorth Books of Little Rock will sell select titles of Olds’ work. UCA presents ‘The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time’’
CONWAY—The University of Central Arkansas theater program wraps up its 2022-23 season with “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time” at the James M. Bridges Black Box Theatre in the Windgate Center for the Fine and Performing Arts. Performance dates are at 7:30 p.m., April 6-7 and April 13-14, and at 2 p.m., April 8. CONWAY – The University of Central Arkansas’ Reynolds Performance Hall welcomes Steve Burns on Tuesday, April 4, at 7:30 p.m. Burns is an American actor and television host best known as the original host of the long-running children’s preschool television program “Blue’s Clues” from 1996 until 2002, for which he was nominated for a Daytime Emmy in 2001. CONWAY– The University of Central Arkansas will host Hideaki Tsustui, who has provided lighting design for hundreds of corporate events, concerts, and television, as an artist-in-residence from Tuesday, March 28, to Thursday, April 6. During Tsustuis residency, he will provide lighting for the opening night performance of “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime,” a play by Simon Stephens. (March 16, 2023) — Adaja Cooper, a senior studio art major and business minor from Little Rock, has been named to the 2023 class of Thomas J. Watson Fellows. The Thomas J. Watson Fellowship is a one-year grant for purposeful, independent exploration outside the United States, awarded to graduating seniors nominated by one of 41 partner institutions.
