A houseshow, on Friday night, May 24, will benefit Deliver Hope. Dreamed up by Lane Long and Drew Foote, the show will feature four local bands as well as crawfish by Crawfish Cares.
“I think music is beautiful and giving people a great experience is amazing, Foote told me. “But to use all of that for the purpose of changing someone’s life make it transcend just normal pleasure and turns it into something we can all believe in.”
There is a $10 cover and all proceeds go to Deliver Hope. Additionally, Foote said that Deliver Hope merchandise would be available for purchase.
The event starts at 6 pm and is located at 1950 South Blvd, Conway, AR. The four bands performing include:
- City Boyz – a local cover band
- Andy Moore – a local indie rock band
- The Secret Postcard Society – a folk band
- Justin Brooks – singer/songwriter
“Lane and I came up with the idea back in March to do a houseshow and thought we could get a couple of bands together and then do something good with it and deliver hope was on both of our hearts,” Foote told me.
Foote explained that they hoped to do it every year featuring different bands and a different non-profit organization.
