Conway Christmas Lights

The 2022 Conway area Trail of Christmas Lights

Conway Institute of Music

NOTE: See 2023 here.ย

We started the Christmas Lights Trail in 2020 during the Covid pandemic when people werenโ€™t able to gather for Christmas parties.

It was a fun way to celebrate and look at lights. We continued last year in 2021 and have brought back our list for this year.

So, grab your friends and family and pile in the car, run by your favorite coffee shop, grab a hot cup of cocoa (or latte) and pull up this article for a list to your Trail of Christmas Lights in the Conway area.

Conway Lights

Conway Area Chamber of Commerce (Giant Tree)

We lit the Christmas tree on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Mayor Castleberry had dozens of kids on the stage to execute the countdown. The lights came on with no problems. At night, you can drive by the 54-foot tree and get pictures taken while the lights are on.

It has become a Conway tradition during the holidays.

Out of town

There are a couple of places outside of the Conway that may be worth the trip for your family and friends. We would be remiss if we didn’t mention them.

The Enchanted Forest Trail of Lights โ€“ Sherwood

Okay, you have to go to Sherwood for this one, but Iโ€™ve heard it is worth the drive! Grab some hot cocoa, get the family (or friends) in the car and head down the road to see some of the areaโ€™s best lights! The entry is free, but they do take donations. Word is, you get a candy cane for going through the display! You can find it at the Sherwood Sports Complex, 420 Dee Jay Hudson Drive from 6-9:30 p.m.

Garvan Woodland Gardens, Hot Springs

Garvan Woodland Gardens is known for its beautiful landscape, but when you add lights, it is even more glamorous.

From 4-9 pm (except for Christmas day) the garden hosts one of the most amazing light displays you will find in Arkansas.

The garden boasts millions of lights throughout the park. When it gets cold enough, you will love the hot chocolate at the end of the trail.

But, if you take the time to visit the gardens, you might as well venture into town where there are more light displays.

You can learn more about the lights in the Hot Springs area here.

Going to both places to see the lights requires that you pack your patience because so many people are visiting too!

Enjoy!

Wrapping it up

Whew, that’s a lot! A lot of opportunities to see lights that are a labor of love!

Grab your friends and family, your favorite hot beverage, fire up some Christmas songs and take a road trip to find a trail of Conway Christmas lights here and beyond.
