Name
Ethan Bly
Company
Arvest Bank
How long have you been with your company?
2 years
What kind of challenges have you had to overcome in your career?
Being newer to the Conway business scene, I don’t know the amount of people that I would like to. Also, being a young professional can bring about certain preconceived notions.
How did you overcome those?
My favorite thing to do is to just get out, talk to people, and network. Any event that I can go to, I will. I love meeting new people and learning what they do. Being able to dive into a conversation about what I do and my passion for getting people into a house helps combat the preconceived notions of being young. I have put a lot of time and effort into training and gaining knowledge and being able to just provide support and guidance for customers and peers I believe shows that I belong.
What is one thing people might be surprised to know about you?
I have spent a vast majority of my life either playing in bands or supporting good friends in local bands around Arkansas.
What are your best career tips for other professionals?
Don’t be afraid to get out of your comfort zone and keep pushing, even when things get tough.
What volunteer organizations are you involved in?
I do most of my volunteering through Arvest because they present plenty of volunteer opportunities. The same can be said with the Faulkner County Board of Realtors. It nice to be a part of organizations that stay so involved with the community.
What do you do for fun when you aren’t working?
My wife and I spend a lot of time traveling and with my dogs!
Who are your biggest supporters?
My wife, My dogs, my dad, my grandparents, and my awesome coworkers!
