Conway’s entrepreneur organization, Conductor, launched another program this past week with the addition of 1 Million Cups. 1 Million Cups is a global program sponsored by the Kaufman Foundation. The event features networking and a short presentation by a local entrepreneur. Entrepreneur Kid launches Kickstarter
Conway designer Li Zeng has teamed up with entrepreneur and journalist Erica Swallow to create a book series highlighting problem-solving skills of kids. Zeng and Swallow recently launched their Kickstarter Campaign for Entrepreneur Kid. The two professionals have been working for several months including trips to meet each of their four kid entrepreneurs. The Arkansas Asset Builders is a new non-profit organization provides financial literacy programs and free tax preparation services for many of Conway’s residents. The founder, Joyia Chadwick Yorgey, explained, “The mission of Arkansas Asset Builders is to empower hard-working Arkansans with limited income to flourish as individuals, families, and communities through free tax preparation services and financial literacy programs.” The founder, Joyia Chadwick Yorgey, began the process of creating the non-profit last year. Coffee for a Cause at Round Mountain Coffee
Coffee for a Cause is a night for Conway to come together for coffee, dessert, and live music, all in support of international missions. The event will take place at Round Mountain Coffee. Artists featured include Tiffany Lee, Brother Bera, and Amanda Trice. $15 cover charge includes one drip coffee or espresso drink, and one dessert. Conductor, UAMS and BioVentures Join Forces to Launch Health Sciences Entrepreneurship Boot Camp
CONWAY, ARK (February 27, 2017): The Conductor today announced a joint initiative with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and BioVentures to offer a week-long residential camp at the University of Central Arkansas for college students around the state.
