(August 23, 2018) – The University of Central Arkansas’s Baum Gallery will host two exhibitions this fall, Peter Pincus: Color and Form plus Artistic Processes: Drawings and More, running Aug. 30-Oct. 11. The Pincus show features the ceramics of this New York state artist. Born in Rochester, Peter Pincus is a ceramic artist and instructor. He joined the School for American Crafts as visiting assistant professor in ceramics in fall 2014. Pincus received his BFA (2005) and MFA (2011) in ceramics from Alfred University. UCA Celebrates Grand Opening Of New Arkansas Coding Academy Campus
CONWAY, AR., August 23, 2018—The University of Central Arkansas Department of Outreach and Community Engagement celebrated the grand opening of the new Arkansas Coding Academy campus with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday. Arkansas Lt. Gov. Tim Griffin was a special guest speaker at the ceremony. “The Arkansas Coding Academy is the perfect example of local entities – UCA, the Chamber of Commerce and businesses – partnering to meet the needs of employers, ” Griffin said. Though it’s in heart of downtown Conway, it’s all too easy to pass by Streetside Creperie without noticing.
