If this question is intriguing and you are curious about how microbes impact our daily lives, promote good health, and produce some of our favorite foods, then join Dr. Andrew Schurko (Professor of Biology) at this weeklong day camp where participants will:
- engage in exciting activities that use a variety of laboratory equipment and techniques to get a glimpse into the amazing world of microorganisms
- collect samples from nature, grow bacterial colonies in the lab, and use microscopes to view microbes
- use modern genetic techniques to make bacterial cells glow fluorescent green!
- make food (that you can eat and take home) with bacteria.
