The UCA Makerspace powered by the Conductor is teaming up with The Locals to host a Raspberry Pi Bake-off on March 13 from 6-7:30 pm. The event will take place at the Makerspace, 250 Donaghey Ave #130, Conway, AR.
Raspberry Pi is a small, inexpensive computer that can be used to do various projects.
According to Wikipedia,
The Raspberry Pi is a series of small single-board computers developed in the United Kingdom by the Raspberry Pi Foundation to promote the teaching of basic computer science in schools and in developing countries.[4][5][6] The original model became far more popular than anticipated,[7] selling outside its target market for uses such as robotics. It does not include peripherals (such as keyboards, mice and cases). However, some accessories have been included in several official and unofficial bundles.[7]
Computers cost anywhere from $25-35 depending on the type of Raspberry Pi you purchase. The popularity of the computers has increased in the past few years as many have tried to involve students in programming at an early age.
