A touring production of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol will visit the University of Central Arkansas’s Reynolds Performance Hall on Dec. 19 to benefit the Main Stage Education Series for school children.
The first The C. D. Wright Women Writers Conference was a big hit. The conference took place from November 3-4 on the campus of UCA.
The University of Central Arkansas and city of Conway will host the 20th annual Veterans Day Celebration on Thursday, Nov. 9 at 1 p.m. on the lawn outside Old Main on the campus of UCA. The formal ceremony begins at 1:40 p.m. The rain location is McCastlain Ballroom.
It’s that time of year. The weather starts to get cooler (finally) and the state fair is behind us and we begin to get ready for ComiConway.
For the third year, Funk Fusion Company will present the Thriller in the Park event, free for kids and parents. The event will take place on Tuesday, October 31st from 6 to 8 PM at Simon Park in Downtown Conway.
For the eight years, Conway will host EcoFest at Laurel Park October 14, 2017, from 11 AM to 4 PM. The festival includes 9 sections which will educate and challenge event attendees.
The University of Central Arkansas continues to be a part of ArtsFest, Conway’s yearly celebration of music, visual art, theatre, dance, creative writing and film, which will take place for one fun-filled day, Saturday, Oct. 7.
The C. D. Wright Women Writers Conference will host its inaugural event Nov. 3-4 at the University of Central Arkansas.
The conference is open to all, though it will cater to women and women-identifying writers from all genres and all experience levels, from journalism to mass-market books to literary endeavors and beyond. The conference’s goal is to provide a space for camaraderie, connection-making and inspiration.
UCA will host a block party this Friday night, August 25 starting at 5 pm at the new Donaghey Hall. The event is free to the public.
