UCA Hosts Women’s Business Showcase

CONWAYThe University of Central Arkansas will host its first Women’s Business Showcase Wednesday, Feb. 28 from 6-8:30 p.m. in McCastlain Hall on the UCA campus.

Thirty-six women-owned businesses from across central Arkansas will gather at UCA to promote their businesses and showcase their products and services to the public. Attendees will also have the opportunity to enjoy food, win door prizes, shop and network.

This is a free event, however, participants must RSVP at uca.edu/outreach/women or by calling 501-450-3118.

Speakers for the event include UCA First Lady Jenny Davis; Christy Horpedahl, program manager for the Arkansas Center for Research in Economics at UCA; and Patricia Nunn-Brown, director for minority and women-owned business enterprises at the Arkansas Economic Development Commission. Whitney Long, host of “Here and There in Conway” and mortgage manager with Iberia Bank, will emcee the event.

An interactive art exhibit by Brenda Yelvington titled “See Who You Are,” will also be on display.
