Toad Suck Daze 2017 kicks off this week and the weather will be fantastic.
For 35 years Toad Suck Daze has brought a carnival to the city of Conway. For the past ten years, it has been held in downtown Conway.
The festival is used to raise money for education in Faulkner County.
According to the Toad Suck Daze website:
“Toad Suck Daze is an education-based festival. Proceeds from the festival support education initiatives and scholarships. Over the past 35 years, more than $1.6 million dollars has been donated to education initiatives. More recently, Toad Suck Daze supports pre-K education through a partnership with Arkansas Preschool Plus.”
Attractions at Toad Suck Daze includes the Toad Market, Toad Store, Toad Dome, Toadal Kids Zone, Concessions, and the variety of entertainment including music.
Map of the Event
The First United Methodist Church offers free parking for the event and it is a great place to park.
You will want to check out the map before you get to Toad Suck. There are plenty of places you can park, many for a parking fee, and you will need to be ready to walk.

Toadally Ready
I hope you are toadally ready (see what I did there?) for this year’s Toad Suck Daze. It is a great family friendly atmosphere with lots of things to do for kids and all members of the family.
Just a reminder, the downtown streets will close on Thursday evening to set up for the festival. Trust me, you will need to make plans on Friday if you are going downtown.
Downtown streets will close at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 4, to set up for #ToadSuckDaze. Here’s a #ToadSuck map: https://t.co/Oc9O0Khavj pic.twitter.com/GyYmc0nYer

Latest news in Conway and for Conway Scene.
is it pet friendly if they are on a leash?
Hi Jenny, thanks for commenting! The answer comes straight from the Toad Suck website, “No, pets are not allowed on festival grounds as stated in Conway City Ordinance #0-00-50. This ordinance is for the safety of festival attendees and their pets, as the festival grounds can become congested in areas. Service animals are allowed.” you can find that at this link http://toadsuck.org/info/faqs/.
