The Arkansas Coding Academy held Demo Day for graduates of Cohorts 6 and 7 on Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at UCA Downtown in Conway. Cohort 5 was a part-time class and finished at the same time as Cohort 6, according to Mary Condit, Director of the coding academy.

The C. D. Wright Women Writers Conference will host its inaugural event Nov. 3-4 at the University of Central Arkansas.
The conference is open to all, though it will cater to women and women-identifying writers from all genres and all experience levels, from journalism to mass-market books to literary endeavors and beyond. The conference’s goal is to provide a space for camaraderie, connection-making and inspiration.

The UCA Makerspace Powered by the Conductor is a place for students and community members to make, design and dream. It is a collaborative, interdisciplinary workspace with tools to prototype concepts, make new things, and take ideas to the next level.
