Reynolds Performance Hall welcomes ‘America’s Got Talent’ finalist Preacher Lawson

CONWAY—The University of Central Arkansas Reynolds Performance Hall welcomes stand-up comedian Preacher Lawson on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $30-$40 for adults and $10 for students. Tickets are on sale now and may be purchased at the Reynolds Box Office Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., online at uca.edu/reynolds or by calling UCA Ticket Central at (501) 450-3265 or toll-free at (866) 810-0012.

Lawson is best known for his appearance on season 12 of NBC’s hit series, “America’s Got Talent,” where he made it to the final rounds.

“Preacher Lawson will present a comedic show that will keep the audience laughing. His notoriety and success from ‘America’s Got Talent’ makes him a household name that all ages can enjoy,” said Amanda Horton, executive director of Public Appearances. “He has a way of spinning his own life experiences into hilarious stories. You won’t want to miss this funny man.”

Lawson’s crowd-pleasing performances on “America’s Got Talent” earned him invitations to compete on “America’s Got Talent: The Champions” and “Britains’s Got Talent: The Champions.”

Lawson also hosted the Facebook Watch series “World’s Most Amazing Dogs” with George Lopez and Lisa Vanderpump and has built a YouTube following of more than 500,000 subscribers. In 2019, Lawson shot his first stand-up special which premiered on BET+.

Lawson currently stars in the NBC series “Connecting” and is a judge on the new Nickelodeon competition show “Unleashed.” He continues to perform at sold-out venues around the country.

Lawson was born In Portland, Oregan, but spent most of his adolescence in Memphis, Tennessee. He moved 20 times before the age of 10, but claims Orlando, Florida, as his hometown because he says that is where he grew as a comedian.
