Scott Forbush is this month’s Meet your Barista.
For over a decade now, Scott Forbush has been serving coffee for Conway residents in three different coffee shops.
Let’s just say Scott is a veteran at “slinging shots.”
Now, together with Kyle Sackhoff, Forbush is the Co-Owner/Operator at Round Mountain Coffee.
Today we learn a little more about Forbush, what he likes to do in his free time (hint, AcroYoga), how much his customers mean to him, and a lot more.

What is one thing about you people would be surprised to know?
I can hold my wife in a handstand in my hands.
What is your favorite thing to do in Conway?
Walk the trail and spend time at the lovely parks in the city.
What is the one activity that you can get lost for hours doing?
I spin fire staff. I could listen to music and spend hours getting in a flow state with my prop and lose myself in the moment.
How long have you been pulling shots?
For over a decade.
What is your favorite part of the job?
My favorite part of the job is the people. My team and my customers truly make my days. They help me grow and become a better person. They vent to me about their lives. They love me and I love them. It is truly a family with all different walks of life. Spending time at RMC is mostly the best part of my days.
What is your favorite coffee brew method?
Easy! A v60 brew method. I love the clarity it brings out of the coffee.
What is your favorite drink on your coffee shop’s menu?
I love a double shot of espresso. I have one every day. I open the store and it is the best jolt of the morning.
What is your favorite virtue?
All of them are worth something.
What do you appreciate the most in your friends?
I appreciate the confidence and love they receive and give to me.
What is your idea of happiness?
I live in this broken world like everyone else but my idea of happiness comes from the light that shines through the darkness.
If not yourself, who would you be?
I would be Spiderman.
Where would you most like to live?
I love Arkansas and I love living here but if I had to change, I would go to any beach. Living on the beach sounds magical.
What is your ideal occupation?
I am in it!
