Sofie and the New Relics

Meet local musicians Sofie and the New Relics

Conway Institute of Music

Have you ever been to a hootenanny? That’s when the folks singers gather around the square and have jam sessions. Well, Sofie and the New Relics look and sound like they just came from a hootenanny.

And that is quite a praise. These teenagers can play and sing!

The teenagers are from Greenbrier (Sophie), Cabot (Jude), Bryant (Wyatt), and White Hall (Grady) and they have been playing across Arkansas and the region for a couple of years.

I first heard them at the Illuminate Conway event and I was blown away with their brand of folk, country Christmas music. Once I learned they were playing at Toad Suck Daze, I decided to message them for a feature.

Today, we learn more about the group called Sofie and the New Relics.

Official Music Bio

Sofie and the New Relics was formed last October as a young band to perform a few Christmas shows. Their unique sound captivated audiences and quickly catapulted them onto the central Arkansas music scene. As a result, they are booked on a summer tour with over 40 shows in eight states. They have recently been featured in AY Magazine, KARK Channel 4, and The Vine on THV 11. Sofie and the New Relics are nominated for the Young Artist of the Year Award by the Arkansas Country Music Association. They will be going to Nashville in July to start production of their first album.
