Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre announces cast, directors, production dates for 2023 season

CONWAY, AR — The 2023 season of the Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre is set to open June 15 with a production of Shakespeare’s adventure-romance, “The Tempest” in the new Windgate Center for the Fine and Performing Arts on the University of Central Arkansas campus. The season also includes the madcap comedy, “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)” opening June 17, and the inaugural musical variety show, “Shakespeare Cabaret” opening June 22. CONWAY — Haydyn Hudnall, a spring 2023 University of Central Arkansas graduate, has been named a 2023-24 Newman Civic Fellow by Campus Compact, a national coalition of colleges and universities committed to advancing the public purposes of higher education. The Newman Civic Fellowship is a year-long program that recognizes community-oriented students who have demonstrated an investment in finding solutions for challenges posing a threat to communities, both locally and around the world. UCA alumna earns Fulbright Award

CONWAY– A recent graduate from the University of Central Arkansas has received a Fulbright U.S. Student Program award for the 2023-24 academic year from the U.S. Department of State and the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board. Shelby Morris of McAlester, Oklahoma, has received a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship (ETA). Morris earned a degree in elementary education this May, with a minor in honors interdisciplinary studies. UCA earns 2023-24 Military Friendly® School Designation

Military Friendly® is owned and operated by Viqtory, a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business.
