Spickard is a photo-based artist living and working in Conway. She is a 2009 alumna of the University of Central Arkansas and has worked at UCA since 2015. She is currently a graphic designer for University Marketing and Communications.

“In Common” displays things we, as humans, share with each other and our ancestors.

“By making things with my hands, I feel a connection to my humanness and to other humans, past and present,” said Spickard.

The reception is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be served. The installation will also be available for viewing April 2-26. Regular gallery hours at UCA Downtown are noon to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

For more information, call UCA Downtown at (501) 852-8223 or visit uca.edu/downtown.
