Home for the Holidays: Independent Living Services Hosts Fundraising Gala

Conway, Arkansas – On November 9th, 2023, Independent Living Services (ILS) will host its much-anticipated “Home for the Holidays” fundraising gala. The event will take place at the Knights of Columbus, located at 514 E. Sixth St., Conway, with registration beginning at 5:30 p.m. The gala officially kicks off at 6 p.m.

“Home for the Holidays” promises an evening filled with excitement, camaraderie, and the joy of giving. This special event includes a range of activities to entertain and engage guests, all while supporting a noble cause.

The gala features:

1. Silent and Live Auctions: Attendees will have the opportunity to bid on an array of enticing items through both silent and live auctions. From unique experiences to valuable memorabilia, there’s something for everyone to bid on.

2. Live Music: Enjoy the melodious tunes provided by live musical performances, adding a touch of harmony to the evening.

3. Cash Bar: A well-stocked cash bar will be available, ensuring guests can toast to a memorable evening while mingling with fellow supporters.

4. Heavy Appetizers: Delight your taste buds with a delectable selection of heavy appetizers, offering a culinary journey that complements the evening’s festivities.

The primary objective of the “Home for the Holidays” gala is to raise funds for Independent Living Services and its various programs and projects. Established in 1970, ILS is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing essential services for adults with disabilities. These services include:

 Supported Employment: Assisting individuals with disabilities in finding and maintaining gainful employment, promoting independence and financial stability.

Profiles: An adult-development day-treatment program designed to enhance personal development, life skills, and overall well-being.

Transportation: Ensuring that clients have reliable and accessible transportation options, enabling them to lead fulfilling lives.

Group-Home Living: Providing safe and supportive living environments for individuals with disabilities.

Community Integration: Encouraging community involvement and inclusion to foster a sense of belonging and purpose.

This gala presents an opportunity for the local community to come together, support a meaningful cause, and celebrate the holiday spirit of giving.
