Conway Kiwanis Bookcase Project bookcase distribution

This is the 18^th consecutive year that personalized bookcases and starter sets of books will be awarded.  Recipients are 4- and 5-year-old participants in Conway Head Start, administered by the Community Action Program for Central Arkansas, Inc. (CAPCA).  CAPCA selects the recipients.

The Project was founded in 2005 by Jim Davidson of Conway.  Davidson is the author of several motivational books.  In early 2020, the Kiwanis Club of Conway assumed oversight of the Project from Davidson, who is a member of the Club and remains actively involved in the Project.  Several members of the Project committee in place when the Kiwanis Club of Conway assumed oversight from Davidson also continues to be involved.
