Ohana Celebration Park was formerly known as Lester Flatt Memorial Park. It was recently purchased by Malvin and Casandra Mize. They have partnered with the Central Arkansas Fishing Community, founded by Sterling Tatro, to develop a youth program. The hope is to introduce program members to a variety of outdoor activities to include fishing, hiking, bird watching, nature photography, and orienteering. All workshops, events and camps will also concentrate on stewardship and conservation activities. This is the inaugural event for the Central Arkansas Fishing community and Ohana Celebration Park. We want to invite the public to visit the park and consider joining the CAFC Youth Program to participate in future events.

Central Arkansas Fishing Community
The Central Arkansas Fishing Community started as a Facebook Group for those that enjoy fishing within the state. We have connected with many like minded anglers and have discussed the need for involving youth in the sport. We hope to remove the known barriers to fishing for youth and all beginner anglers. We plan to offer an ongoing program for beginner and intermediate anglers at Ohana Celebration Park. These workshops and events will be available and customized for participants of all ages. We will also organize field trips and destination trips to explore and enjoy other locations within the state. Our goal is to create a safe environment for youth, families, and beginners to enjoy all types of outdoor recreation and educate them about the vast opportunities to enjoy The Natural State.
