EcoFest 2016

EcoFest enters its nith year

Conway Institute of Music

For the ninth year, Conway will host EcoFest at Laurel Park October 14, 2017, from 11 AM to 4 PM. The festival includes nine sections which will educate and challenge event attendees and is free.

Our annual EcoFest is a highly interactive andย balanced environmentalย outdoor festival To educate and empower Central Arkansas through non partisan environmental awareness and where weย ย celebrateย all things sustainability, preservation, and innovation. ย With emphasis on local action that impacts globally, we offer a broad range of sections at our event that ย support solutions to challenges that citizens may interact with on a daily basis. We highlight ย strides that been made with STEM, Agriculture, City Planning, and Education to support forward movement with respect to positive impact onย the environment. EcoFest websiteย

With the construction of the new tennis complex, attendees might want to pay attention to the map for this year’s event.

According to the website, community support includes City leaders and State agencies; Conway Chamber of Commerce; Arkansas Environmental Educators Association; ย Arkansas STEM Coalition; Faulkner County Solid Waste District; The Log Cabin Democrat; Corporation; Professors and students from all local universities and schools; Local businesses and Farmers; Individual volunteers.

I believe in Ecofest, because I believe in our community. I can’t complain unless I am willing to be a part of the solution. Ecofest is an non political, fun and educational organization that helps all, not just part of our community.

Each action we complete every day has a positive or negative reaction from others. I want my actions to be always viewed as positive.

I want to give back and make my community the best it can be.
John Lambert, Voting Member

Entertainment this year includes The Boomers, Groove Cluster, Full Moon Drum Circle, and Deep Sequence.

The event isย family friendly. EcoFest is an all-volunteer organization that takes place in October of each year. Recently, Conway was named as the second most giving city by a Travelocity, in large part due to EcoFest.

You never know what you might see at EcoFest. Enjoy the Fall weather!
