Freedom Fest

Conway’s Freedom Fest returns to Beaverfork Lake on July 4th this year

Conway Institute of Music

After missing last year due to the issues around COVID-19, Freedom Fest returns to Beaverfork Lake Park this year. Beaverfork Lake Park is located at 20 Kinley Drive, Conway, AR  72032.

This year’s festival will feature The City Boyz and fireworks will start around 9 pm. The benefit of this year’s event is that it will take place on Sunday, July 4th.

“Having Freedom Fest on the actual holiday, the 4th of July is a big bonus to this year’s event! In the past, we’ve held our event on the Saturday near the holiday but never on an actual day.” according to event coordinator Ragan Huse.

The event will have opportunities for lots of fun games including swimming, sand volleyball, baggo, soccer, frisbee, and whatever fun you can bring.

It’s safe to say everyone is happy to have Freedom Fest back.

“Freedom Fest has and will always be about our community & we are excited to bring our community back together after a long year of distancing,” Huse said.” We’re bringing it all back – food trucks, local live music, fireworks, & family fun! City Church has joined in partnership with the City of Conway to ensure the fun is still happening, along with several local generous sponsors who love Conway.”

In addition, My Country Y107 will be at the event allowing for others to listen to the music from a distance while waiting to watch the fireworks.

The hope is the tradition we will be here for years to come.

“We’re looking forward to bringing back this tradition for Conway and seeing a glimpse of unity within our community as we celebrate our nation’s independence.
