Cops & Coats is a program by the Conway Police Department that focuses on providing children of low-income families a warm coat for the Winter.
Applications are currently being accepted through Friday, September 30, 2022.
According to a spokesperson for the Conway Police Department,
โThe Cops & Coats program is a project that the Conway Police Department began several years ago to address the health concerns of low-income families in our city. It is our firm belief that no child should go without a warm coat for winter.
“This program helps us give back to the individuals that we serve by alleviating some of the financial stress they may feel when purchasing winter coats for their children. It creates a positive experience for everyone involved as our officers personally deliver the coats to families in our community.
“Walmart Neighborhood Market on Prince Street was a generous donor to the Cops & Coats program this year. We appreciate their help in this endeavor and we look forward to delivering coats in late October!”
Members of the community can also donate a brand new coat for a child. For more information about donating, contact the Conway Police Department.
