Join us as Sherri Woodus R.S. from the Arkansas Department of Health shares her knowledge on Cottage Laws and food safety for your home based business.
Sherri Woodus is currently the Retail Food Section Chief for the Arkansas Department of Health. Ms. Woodus was raised and educated in SE Arkansas receiving her BS in Biology from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. Ms. Woodus has over 30 years of experience in the food regulatory industry. She has worked on the Federal level with the USDA and FDA. She has over 19 years of service working in the Environmental Health Branch of the Arkansas Department of Health. Under Ms. Woodus’ guidance, food safety education takes precedence before regulation when working with the food industry. Her program works with Summer Feeding and Afterschool Providers, Fairs/Festivals and Event Coordinators, Farmers Market Managers, Retail Food Owners and Operators, Mobile Food Trucks and Pushcart Operators, Hotels and Hospitals food service, and other state agencies like the Department of Education, the Arkansas Department of Corrections, the Alcoholic Beverage Control Division, and the Arkansas Department of Human Services. Ms. Woodus is a Registered Sanitarian and certified ServSafe Food Manager among her many accomplishments.
