How long has your business been in operation?
I opened the salon 7 years ago. I sold the Salon after about 3 years and then co-owned and now am the sole owner again.
What have been some of your biggest challenges and how did you overcome those?
Hmmm, biggest challenges… Probably our parking (like everyone in Conway!)
Another challenge (I guess you could say) is our location off Oak Street, but pushed back between Oak and the street behind us. The visibility isn’t great from Oak Street. I have always liked that, though. We definitely have privacy from the noise and we have on our own private parking, but we are also centrally located.
Who has been your biggest supporter(s) for your business?
Well, in the Salon biz, you rely solely on clients for support and referrals. Co-workers are also big support! Friends and family for emotional support. My biggest supporters are my clients. They are like family.
What are you looking forward to in the next few years in business?
In the next few years, I am looking forward to growing my business. Conway is an amazing city that is growing leaps and bounds. I am proud to be a part of it!
Recently, I did a full remodel. I have expanded the salon. Besides me, hairstylists Molly Walker and Amanda Hankins have 20+ years of experience.
We have a full-service menu of what we offer. Right now, we have a Groupon special on spray tans, brow tinting, and waxing (see below)!
